About our name, "Nourish"

We chose our name as a statement of intent for this project.We want our food hub to:- Nourish growth in soil-building practices for customers and producers, mindful of the quality and impact–both locally and in their ecosystems of origin – of our inputs and practices.- Nourish a love of local food, with a special emphasis on the next generation of farmers and eaters through our connections with local school districts.- Nourish increased access to local food as we cultivate new venues connecting producers and customers in our community.- Nourish the physical health of our community, acting as a “Farmacy” that embodies our belief that diet is the ultimate preventative medicine.

Our Standards at Nourish Food Hub

In addition to local certifications and safety requirements, producers who sell through Nourish Food Hub uphold our mission by agreeing to:- Transparency about our growing and raising practices for our customers
- Sustainable growing and animal husbandry practices
- Non-GMO inputs, in seed or feed or in any capacity, in the production of our food
- Practices that uphold the ethic of organic farming
